Finding Your Purpose - Allentown, PA
Over the last 10 years, I have read books, listened to CDs and online courses and attended seminars on spiritual development. For a while, I would feel great. With the best of intentions I would follow this idea, or that piece of wisdom, but before I knew it, I had lost my place, and was back into my old routine. And that routine is a very busy one.
Recently, two friends were discussing the state of their lives. One never had enough time for herself, the other not enough money. I quickly volunteered, “I have the perfect book for us to read! It is broken down into chapters with specific exercises. We could read the chapters and then get together to discuss how we are going to do the exercises!” After checking our schedules, the first time we could get together, by phone, for 15 minutes over our lunch breaks, to share our insight around chapter one, was eight weeks out. Hurricane Sandy hit and we had to cancel the phone call.
